Two teenagers have been arrested after a police sting operation in a home where two children, aged two and one, were allegedly held captive, a Queensland coroner has heard.

A priest has been jailed for 33 years after being convicted of abusing two teenage boys.

The Rev Michael Collins, 64, of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Dundalk, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two counts of sexual assault and one of indecent assault in 2006 and 2007.

The second victim was a girl aged between 15-17 when the abuse was committed.

Collins was jailed for 33 years and one day on Wednesday. His sentence includes 12 years for each count of indecent assault.
